2016 Group Hunt Planning

I was planning on hunting the Wayne this year myself in November though. I'll see what I can swing. I might jump on board also if that's ok

It's getting close guys. It is probably worth doing a roll call and booking accommodations if we haven't already.

here's a shared document you can start adding your names/contact info. We use this system a lot on HammockForums.net for group hangs and it works really well.

Alright folks, it seems like some folks are in and some are not, which of course is fine. If it works for folks (and I am hoping it does), I will go ahead and take up the planning mantle to get things organized. If any of the administrators have any issues with this please PM me and I will of course accommodate site or forum management preferences.

My plan at this point is to coordinate a four day group hunt in Wayne NF spanning from Friday 10/28 through Monday 10/31, in a specific area to be determined, based on attendee needs and preferences, and scouting of course. In addition, I am considering opening up the camp up to spouse and children as a potential opportunity to give more folks a window to participate, but that will of course depend on preferences as well.

To get the ball rolling I have developed the following survey to get a feel for interest in participating and preferences. Once I am able to get a good feel for participation and get folks contact, I will start a planning email chain and begin narrowing down locations.

If you want to take point, that works for me. I am still trying to find a way to make this happen but I'm not guaranteed, so if you are definitely in, go for it. I will do anything I can to help you, and I would reach out to Mausty because as far as I know he is still in and he is pretty excited about this!

I probably have a better shot at making it for the 4 days you mentioned so I'll keep working on it.

If you want to take point, that works for me. I am still trying to find a way to make this happen but I'm not guaranteed, so if you are definitely in, go for it.
