2019 platforms

I don't mind paying a little more for a product that's built with safety in mind rather than for straight up profit. If these boys make their millions on it in the mean time well good for them. I know some guys on here have had to go back to Tethered to have some stuff replaced, and they found a company that was willing to do the right thing and take care of them no questions asked. That's good customer service, and that's priceless. I got the whole kitten kaboodle, lock stock, and barrel, from soup to nuts, and I am 100% satisfied. AMERICAN MADE. By Americans. High quality. Best money I've spent in awhile.

That's what I'm talking about! My man!

The idea behind Tethrd is to get it off the ground and recruit more people into saddle hunting. Right now we have to charge higher prices because our quantities are so low. If we could do 10,000 piece orders like the big tree stand companies, or manufacture everything in China, the prices could definitely come down. Volume = better pricing.

Unfortunately for a completely custom niche product, with specific saddle hunting features, manufactured in small quantities right here in the USA with a focus on safety, the prices have to be a bit higher.

The price of your platform seems fair for a quality piece of equipment. I sold my gen 1 and use a ros but I would have no problem buying another. I’m gonna hold out for a bit to see if you make one a little bigger.

Just sold my M7 Microlite and bought a Predator last night. If it wasn't for Tethrd coming out with the Mantis and peaking my interest in saddle hunting, then I would still be in the 25 lb L.W. sit-n-climb I sold to buy a lighter weight system. Since September, I've hunted in nothing but the Mantis this entire season... So felt it right to show some brand loyalty. The M7 was purchased the same day I bought the Mantis, as my back up in case I didnt take to the saddle... it collected dust in my closet ever since.

This interesting seeing as he’s the owner of XOP and direct competitor to Lone Wolf now.
Lone Wolf custom gear isn't necessarily lone wolf treestands. They're launching a trail camera (maybe more, but clearly a camera is on the way)

G2outdoors said the magic words, “manufactured… right here in the USA with a focus on safety”.

I realize that our wages and standard of living are higher than most other countries, China included. I don’t mind paying a little more for better quality and to keep a fellow American working. I wish more products were manufactured in our country.

Also, keep in mind that when purchasing products manufactured in foreign countries you may unknowingly be supporting an anti-hunting and anti-gun agenda. I doubt any company in China would contribute to the NRA or pro-hunting causes but would not hesitate to contribute to some social justice BS cause in exchange for a few likes on Fakebook

Sold! I am going over to Tethrd to place my order for a Predator platform right after this post!

I'm curious about this naming/branding issue also. Seems like LW would be off the table as a brand name (in any form) without the blessing of the regular company.

Why not have this all be XOP equipment? Or some other new company name? Not a big deal. Just curious.

tethrd/Greg

No need to explain/ justify your pricing to me good sirs. You built an outstanding product, built by Americans. And while I love a good deal as much as the next guy, As American hunters we really need to rally behind individuals and companies that share our values as they are vanishing before our eyes.

Plus, hell making a profit is the purpose of being in business... capitalism RULES!

Because lone wolf is a strong brand and andrae was apparently a savvy enough businessman to somehow retain rights to use it.

I bought a lone wolf sit and climb platform from a friend dirt cheap and was able to make a pretty sweet saddle platform out of it. Its 14x14. Has plenty of room, easily fits in a backpack, and only weight 3lbs 6 oz. My favorite thing about it is it has the tree teeth on it so I can cam it over super tight and it handles side pressure like a champ. Grabs hard and doesnt move. I used a hawk helium tree bracket for the top of the post. Great platform and I only got about 40 bucks in it.

I am a cheapa$$ at heart and I tried everything to avoid purchasing the predator platform. I tried WE stepps, ring of stepps, screw in steps and in the end I feel that I just wasted time and money. I forked out the cash for the predator and haven't looked back. Tethrd really put some thought into this product and it is every bit worth the money I paid for it. At this point someone would have to pry it from my cold, dead hands to get it from me. I also built my own saddle, had $80 in just materials(including linemans belt and tether with biners). Probably had 10 hours in sewing and frustration in that also. I think the tethrd prices are very reasonable.
