2023 Trail camera thread

Oh you must mean Kent in DE. I live in Ohio now. My bad. Used to see them in DE on the border of Kent/NCC and up at Brandywine Creek State Park (hunting allowed there).
Gotcha. Yes, that I was referring to. How's the hunting at Brandywine? It's on my list this season.

Honestly in 2019 it was the only place I hunted. That was my last season in DE. I did a few sits at Augustine and Blackbird then hunting opened at BCSP and I lived 5m from the sign in sheet. Tons of stand options and you could probably fill all of your tags there if you hunt the bowhunters instead of the deer, if you know what I mean (Not literally hunting people, internet. take it easy). Saw a few big mature bucks within range too, just never had a good shot. Crazy, you could have a couple walk their dog down the trail, then 2min later a whole family of does and their grammas will cross the same trail and feed right under you. They just know how to play the pressure, but it actually makes it easy as a bowhunter to find the likely travel routes and which stands are best to sign into for the day.

Lol! Thanks. Yea, I imagine it gets pretty hammered there. So close to PA too. Beautiful place to hunt I imagine.

This thread needs more pics!!
If I was on private property I’d share more pics. I learned the hard way there are too many people that will leverage that into finding the spots I put in the time for. Or it encourages them to hunt the areas that they’ve previously had no luck on or wouldn’t bother with otherwise.

Got a unicorn buck on cam. Wife saw him in velvet in the driveway, confirmed no right side at all. Neighbor seconded that. Not gunna lie, I’d consider taking a poke. That left side is pretty stout. Hard to guess age from this but if he’s potentially a 3.5YO, he’s potentially venison. I have one or two other target bucks with complete racks, but if this guy comes by and gets me going, there’s a good chance I’m making a Montec withdrawal from the blood bank of his chest.

All pics are running from 1am-430am. There are still two different bachelor groups of bucks hanging together. Gotta be breaking up soon. They are pounding the acorns after dark.
