2024 Sign up??? Some seasons open in 5 days??

Last year sign up started on Sept. 4th and ran through Sept 15th. I suspect we'll open the signup sometime similar this year.

Don't worry if you're not on a team when your season opens. We will allow entries from those who are lucky enough to have early start dates. Just take a picture of your kill with your saddle and submit it once the submission thread officially opens.

No problem. I just thought it started earlier. Looking forward to the upcoming season!

Me too. I head into the woods on Monday with deer and elk tags in hand this year. I stashed my saddle and sticks at a wallow a few days ago. Be cool to take an elk from the saddle. I think I'll get out of the woods or at least catch service enough to sign up but if not, somebody put me in.
Will do! Good luck!

You don’t worry a critter will gnaw on your saddle? Around here rodents will shred any fabric they can get their paws on and use it as insulation in their nest.

I dont, at least where I had it. It was fine for the week it was in there.

Didn't end up getting an elk out of the saddle. I sat the wallow a couple evenings. I did finally poke a hole in one last night. Had a bunch of encounters with big boys, passed on some cows and "tiny" bulls. After a heartbreaker spending 3 hours yesterday morning moving with a herd of about 30 with a giant 6x6 in it, getting to within 40 of him but shooting lanes were basically non existent, them bedding 40-70 yards away for 2 hours and a cow busting me with a tiny little wind swirl in a dead consistent wind, I ended up getting lucky with a stumble into "small" 5x6 bull yesterday afternoon.
