I should add that I hunted there the prior morning of course. I did have an encounter with a very wide 10 last Sunday morning there in am. Tines weren’t as long but he was a tank. Chasing a doe and she zigged just a little bit after she passed by so he changed course slightly. Had him broadside at 15 yards between two trees stopped for a few seconds but couldn’t tell where the shoulder was so I held off. Didn’t wanna be in the guts. Happened fast and I don’t regret it. I would’ve regretted making a bad shot on such an awesome buck though. And when this pic showed up yesterday morning I was like, “wow” myself. I have a fair amount of very nice respectable and even pretty big bucks on camera this year, but this one is gonna keep me up at night all the way into next year I’m sure. I’ll be looking for him in rifle season which starts next Saturday in PA but I know the area and I have an idea he’ll be where he’s safe and no hunting allowed. So I’ll be looking for clues and trying to piece together a plan for archery next year if he’s still around

I saw this buck I call “The Blade” or just “Blade” maybe twice on camera during the entire season and never saw him on this particular property until late October or early November. Here he beds down right in front of the camera for over two hours last night/this morning!
He looks just like the one we call 2X4. This was in September 2023. I saw him last week, broadside in my shooting lane, and I hadn't drawn my bow yet.1732579511102.png

Finally pulled some standard cam cards while hunting by them. Man!
