Make no mistake, they are here to stay. They may have been nearly extinguished in the past but the landscape has changed in their favor.
 
May I caution everyone that referring to coyotes as wolves will, in the long run hurt us all. The greenie weenies will want them protected and reintroduced and we will no longer be able to kill them. Is there wolf dna in coyotes? Yes. Are they wolves then? No. Studies have shown that after a few breeding cycles they all eventually become coyotes. The wolf dna is predominantly the Canadian brush or timber wolf not the gray wolf.

Round here everyone calls them Coywolves because they are bigger, smarter, faster, have different vocalizations and are increasingly specializing in big game.

Think my cam is too low? Got 10 photos from this group of deer over ten minutes. They all seem to be looking at it. I didn’t hang higher because I didn’t have my foot loop with me and I planned to leave this one over summer for next season.
should I be concerned?

If you keep getting photos like this then I might move it up or something; otherwise, it may be something other than your camera. I would wait a bit and see.
 
Those spypoints do make a noise and have a little red light when they capture iirc.

The Spypoint micro links I have don’t make any noise when they take a pic and I have checked them. I’ll return a camera that makes noise.

Deer can see infrared light. So unless they are no glow cameras they will see the red glow of the flash. If you have any more deer looking at the camera I would move it. I rarely see a deer look at a camera when it’s hung over 6’ high. You don’t necessarily need a foot loop, just hang it as high as you can reach.

A few years ago I was tracking a buck on snow, he was heading right at one of my cameras, about 30 yards before that camera, and he was coming in from behind it, he made a wide, sweeping circle around it, out of detection range and continued on his way back down the runway that camera was watching. I like and use cameras, but most people have no idea how much they mess up deer patterns when used improperly.
