2TC and 1 stick: best upper tether setup for smooth advance?

I’ve been using this system for a couple of years while one-stick climbing and will use it as I start to play with 2TC. I don’t fully take the Ohm tether locker off but simply pull it down a couple of inches. i then use the clips with the green paracord braid to advance the tether up by working them back and forth with upward pressure. Keeps my hands clear, gives me a smooth move up various types of bark, and just requires a couple of seconds to loosen and tighten the Ohm tether locker. Plus, I’m still tied into the rappel rope so if anything happens I can get down quickly and safely. The two clips came from a friction hitch tender I picked up from EWO and just cut them off from the webbing and did the cobra braid myself. They’ve worked great and stay on my rappel rope permanently unless I’m going to have to pull the rope down through some rough branches. In that case I’ll take them off before I rappel just to smooth everything up.

The rubber fender washer as a choke is my favorite. Props to whoever here gave me that idea, it's a winner. K.I.S.S.

The 3-d printed gadgets would be #2.

I don't like fooling with choking knots. Either they are simple and don't release easily enough, or they release, but live on the trickier side. Too many hunting situations are coupled with some sort of diminished physical/mental capacity, namely cold and adrenaline, to mess with complicated knots and hitches.

I’ve also used a hitch retaining pin as well as a Nite-Ize gear tie. The gear ties kept breaking after a while and the retaining pin seemed to slip too easily plus it was tricky to find the right size.

Quit being a Panzie and use a seperate tether!
This first step was the hardest for me, once I figured it out, the rest got so much easier.
:)

Kidding aside, I used two upper tethers, but never really liked it.
