Hi all - maybe a dumb question but wanted to see if there would be any potential issues with 2TC using webbing daisy chain that I've purchased from EWO. Planning on using a delta link/or carabiner to attach a foot loop to the daisy chain. I really just wanted to reuse what I already have vs purchasing more rope.

I also had a thought of using my cypher sling to have both feet to stand on rather than wrapping the other around the tree - thinking of using castration bands to lock the loops of the sling to my feet. Thanks

When I set up my platform, I'm sitting in the saddle and my feet are dangling. Never hung a stand as large as a helio while suspended from a saddle, but it seems like it would be a rodeo. Shouldn't be too hard to test out at about three feet and see how it works out for you

Side question - I was thinking of using 2TC to climb and setup my Novix Helo treestand - have any of you all setup treestands using the 2TC method? Any issues using this vs with the sticks? Thanks
Set in the saddle with knees pulled up to a comfortable spot and spread with ankles crossed sorta straddling the tree. Now you can use your lap for adjusting stand straps and to hold the stand while you go around the tree the straps. When you are ready to cinch everything, uncross legs and position your self with your knees against the tree. Like @krub6b said, prolly be a good idea to do a test run just off the ground.

I should probably qualify my previous statement about hang on stands. I've only hung overbuilt homemade and lower end stands with less refined hanging systems that weighed probably 15# minimum. A quality portable stand like the helo may be a much easier setup, but I have no experience with it. As far as my pursuit platform, I hang it around bellybutton height with my foot tether advanced up above it and my feet pulled up and braced against the tree. For a taller platform or stand I see additional complications with lower tether placement and being able to reach everything. I'm sure it can be done, it may involve passing the stand like a limb with the lower tether after you get it hung

As long as it's definitely the woven one you linked and not the sewn version I think it would probably work. But I'm just a stranger on the internet. Do you have a lineman belt or something else you could repurpose instead?

Also in my limited 2tc trials, wrapping the other leg around the tree makes you feel much more stable when advancing the top tether than just standing in the sling(s) does. Your experience may vary. Worst case you just put both ends of the sling around the same foot and you can try either way.
