I have 48' of 3/16" amsteel black rope that I got to make bridges and whoopie slings and adjustable bridges. I got the 3/16" over the 1/4" and wanted to make sure I didn't make a mistake.

Anyone use a 3/16” amsteel

I've used plenty of it for rope mods on sticks, but use 1/4" on bridges

I don’t think anyone is using it for a bridge. At least they aren’t talking about it. The jury is still out on 1/4” Amsteel. If I were to use Amsteel it would be 1/4”.

I don't trust 1/4 as a bridge. 3/16 certainly is not going to break the first time you hang from it in the backyard. The question that has yet to be answered with dyneema bridge is how it wears at the primary stress point where it meets the biner. Someone will find out, and it won't be me.

Ok. So what size amsteel does tethered use?
