I skipped work today, thinking a bad day hunting is still better than a good day at work. And work got on my nerves the last couple of days.
I was all set by 8:30 and ready for a lunch break at 11:15 when this pretty 6 pointer walked up. He had no idea I was there. It was my new property, I have no cameras out there, no corn out... just walking in, looking for trails, rubs and scrapes and setting up with the wind in mind. The weather was in my favor, rising temperatures and barometric pressure rising as well. A perfect hunting day.
The meat is already in cooler on ice and the skull skinned and cooking for a European mount
Time for a beer, cheers!
