I will never hunt off a platform again after using my Chippewa Ghost stand as my platform. Its just so tiny I want a bit bigger. I like to be able to turn and sit but was wondering if the extra post height and 3" longer platform is worth it. I will sit in saddle and face the tree most of the time. Any opinions appreciated!! Thanks!! Shawn

If you're going to use it as a saddle platform most of the time, .5 hands down. If you're going to be 50/50 or more sitting, I would go with the .75. Can't go wrong either way really.

Get a .5, my twin bought a .75 after using a .5 for 3 years and he is selling his .75 to go back to the .5 after this season.
My younger brother has used a beast stand the last 2 seasons and he bought a used .5 and preferred it over the beast stand and you can probably guess what I use…

Lol I changed it back to my biggest archery kill on public in PA, but I killed a 18 pt this year on public.
Looks like you killed a giant this year also, it’s been a pretty good year, my brother killed his biggest also this season.
Sorry for derailing the post …

That’s awesome, no kidding what a year, you guys must be stoked, yes we’re having a great year, one for the books for all of us! The OP won’t care he’s a buck killer too! Sorry @Deerman406 back to the original thread!

Yeah, I am leaning towards .5 but with a thicker cushion. Not the bigger seat just a thicker one. Anyone have a code, I missed the Black Friday Sale by a day and they won't honor it. Thanks! Shawn

All good comments.

Personally, I lean towards the .5 with standard 18" post for a Hybrid setup. With any decent saddle, you won't likely sit on the seat much and will appreciate using it as a knee rest.

If I was going to try the .75, I'd order it with a mesh seat with the intention of using it more as a standard hang on.

WEXP used to offer a small discount.

Why? Does that 3” in platform length make that much of a difference? Is one stand much easier to hang than the other? Does one take side pressure much better? Does the difference in seat height make it much easier or better to use one as a knee cushion than the other when the seat is in the up position?

Yes

I believe the seat height makes a difference. Like I said I will just add another 2" cushion to the one that comes with it.ni have 2 new hips so angle of my knees and hips does make a difference!! I am ordering the .5 tomorrow.

I use a .5 as a hybrid setup. I owned a 1.0 and tried that snd it was to big.
the :5 is perfect. Im at 14 lbs give or take with either set of sticks i use.
