I'm pretty sure the cheap ones on Amazon are counterfeit. I read that you can tell the difference by looking at the ferrule. Read up on the Amazon 1 star reviews. I think that's where I read it. The blades break constantly on the real ones, but I've never had the ferrule or broadhead break. But not sure if that's what you were even referring to.

I have gotten fake kind one time but they were from a 3rd party seller and Amazon refunded. Very easy to tell the difference by the metal used in the ferrule. The 24 dollar ones are the real McCoy. Ive bought several packs from amazon and basspro and not any different.
 
The ferrule doesnt break. Just dent up. But i started hunting in really rocky terrain this yr so that might be why haha. This was my first season trying them. I thought they were awesome. I just got 2 packs of annihilator heads to see if im switching for next season.
 
More results today, Hawaii state buck tag filled. And from the saddle! I shot this buck with a 125 iron will solid (standard cut). Liver, one lung. Found him bedded an hour after the shot only 75 yards from where he was hit. Backed out and recovered him later in the day 20 yards from his first bed.
