A better bag for stepps

After building my stepp ladder i needed to make a bag for it. Jims design is pretty clever and quite necessary to make things go smoothly. Kyler1945 had a pretty good idea to manage the rope better by cutting a hole in the bottom of the bag and andding a drawsteing at the bottom to retain it for travel.

I was starting to layout my design when i had an idea on how to do things "better". It certainly simplifies the build. I will let the pics speak for themselves.

So what holds them? I see the chord, but as you climb, what holds them as you pull 1 out?

First one slides in here. The rest stack behind it. That portion is the same as the manufactured model.

Oh...cool. I've not had a bag, didn't know about that loop. I just take a couple for added height, or extra step on big tree. Nice work you did.

Nice work. Not having a bottom in the bag sure simplifies sewing right?

I’m going to build a new bag in off-season that’s a copy of what I’ve done but in one piece. The drawstring is too convenient and functional. I also store my tether and two aiders inside the bag with the stepps, so I need the closure. It takes away about a minute or so of setup and takedown time, and makes packing easier.

Let us know how it works for you!

What is the custom line you put on your stepps??

Love your work, I don't have a bag either and use P^!#@l knock offs with acc. cord for ropes. I might try my hand at something like this. I appreciate you posting what the inside of your bag looks like.
