A different whoopie

I made a whoopie sling or at least the same concept but instead of a big loop I made a smaller spliced loop on both ends and then spliced the one end through for about a 10” burry and back out. I played with it at ground level on my ridge runner and it seems to work great. I was trying to get opinions on it.
I think it saves a bunch of rope because it doesn’t make a huge loop.

Interesting! I will need a video to get it done right though. I made a whoopie last night and it worked easy better than I thought. Except for that huge loop...

It was very difficult to get the one end pulled through for the bury but I think that was due to the tools I had to work with. But in my mind it’s the same exact concept as a regular whoopie. If I’m wrong I’d like to know. I won’t use this aside from ground level for now.

I think this may be called an ACR? I tried it but experienced some slippage. I think they are known to be prone to slipping. Definitely test thoroughly at ground level but great idea!

I think you’re right. That kind of rings a bell from back when I was getting into hammock camping. I’ll look into it again. Thanks.
