Just kind of curious, are these cobra buckles considered safe by climbing/rigging industry standards? Seems the potential to accidentally disengage is there vs. the threaded buckles you see on RC harnesses.

I don't know what buckle you are referring to but Cobra buckles are really common in harness applications.

It is interesting to see them used as a waist buckle, but similar buckles are used for leg loops regularly by petzl. I"m assuming that both releas "buttons" need to be pushed individually and simultaniously to release..i.e. each is a backup on the other.

Looks like @BassBoysLLP beat me to it. I wouldnt be worried about them at all.
here is a pic of a petzl industrialpetzl.jpg

Your product is competition for us, and that’s a great thing. Competition drives innovation, and gives the community more choices. And it tells us we’re on the right track with the new designs we have underway.

I love foreshadowing...new designs (plural) we have underway.

one major improvement I can already see is releasing it early.. i'm afraid that if I have to wait the entire time, until June 1st, i'll still buy the saddle and the wait really didn't matter anyway..

Maybe they are releasing it early. Maybe they projected a July release. They done a lot in the time they had.

Not sure if I missed it here but there is a new photo on the Facebook page.

Can you post it here for those of us that don’t have Facebook? :)
