I have read this entire Thread almost since my wife and I went on vacation 2 days ago. It has been brutal trying to drive to thrift store after thrift store just to get time to read the thread. MCDM congratulations on your new baby to be. That being said I will now scroll back to 1400 and something and finish this emotional roller coaster.

Good question. That's the potential downfall of buying a saddle that has not been field tested through at least one hunting season: you end up being the field tester.

Alot regarding this saddle is really unknown. However i can say that the guys involved are some of the best. They are not going to create something from half ass materials and sell it to you for a substantial price. Alot of what Tethrd is and what they are bringing to the market has been brainstormed and many prototypes produced before Tethrd was a concept. Also these guys are not going to produce something for everyone to buy if they themselves would and will not hunt from it. Some of the brightest most influential saddlehunters are involved and since most of the R&D has been over the last few years it would seem to put everyones likes on a cutting edge product not that hard. I believe in these guys and have bought from them before and trust me you won’t be disappointed.

Just want to throw this idea out. Remember when @flinginairos and @g2outdoors started hunting out sitdrags. Everyone thought well thats odd or I like it but it doesn’t seem safe. I wonder how many sitdrags sold after those two started modding theirs. It was never released as a saddle nor any rating given to how safe it was off the ground. People jumped to it and sitdrags were everywhere. This is no different in theory here except you have guys who have the experience engineering more than a cloth seat you can drag a deer with!

Id also just like to say that the ultimate concern here on saddlehunter and im sure with the guys in Tethrd is safety. These guys have always stressed safety and if for any reason you buy a saddle from them and don’t care for it im going out on a limb but they probably have a return policy. What merchant wouldn’t??

These guys have alot riding on this im sure and probably have spent a small fortune to get this campaign off the ground nevermind the time away from family. They deserve our support!! @g2outdoors has said in the videos its not what saddle you have their’s or the other guys its about being in the saddle. The products like the pouchs and the platform will work for anyone’s setup. Tethrd is not just a business but it is about a community of guys and some gals coming together and showing the industry that what we do is great, and highly effective. Products mad by saddlehunters for saddlehunters.

Like I mentioned earlier that all this mantis and predator final product has been shrouded in quick little teasers. These guys im sure are stressing about this release as its their first but don’t doubt the gear till the picture is painted clearer.
 
I said it before and I'll say it again I feel like I've been part of a focus group ever since I join this forum, and that is definitely a good thing. People ask countless amounts of questions here. They discuss what they like and don't like. People constantly post about what they like and what they or looking to change. These guys had the foresight to listen while we all spoke. And I'm sure put together a product that will be mind blowing. Simple, light, and amazingly effective.
