i keep missing deer with my web. Iast weekend I missed a deer twice both low. Then last night I did the same thing again. I have practiced shooting from the web and do shoot good groups. So what I'm asking is it my form or do I suck. Both shots less than 20 yds.

Take your time and keep you shooting form. If you can do it at home you can do it when the time comes

Are guy practicing at hunting height? Sometimes shot angles can cause you to unintentionally anchor differently. Or miss judge the distance due to height.

Make the web roll with the bridge until your body is in an angel with your target as if you were standin on the ground. Helps keep your form and shots will be better. Pick the spot, stay calm, talk to yourself and kill it!!!!

You didn't say if you were sitting or standing when you shot. If you're standing remember to bend at the waist, don't lower your arm to shoot. Look at the bright side, at least your seeing deer and having the opportunity to take the shots. Keep at it and it will all come together.

1st time I was standing and fully rotated around the tree 180. 2nd time buck came in on strong side so I stayed seated. I took the shoulder straps off to help movements.

It is either a form issue due to positioning, angle issue, or nerves. If your doing it at home and getting groups then I am thinking its just angles. Try it at home and have some one move the target in and out left and right (my wifes job lol). Shoot and figure it out. If all is well then its nerves my man and you just need to breathe and slow down.

Sad thing is I sleep better while laying on a branch than in my own bed with my wife and three dogs stealing the covers.

I experienced the same thing last year (missed a doe low).

During summer practice I noticed that if I'm not conscious of my anchor point (and say just pull the string to my face so my peep is visible) than I have a tendency to hit low.

I've realized I sacrifice quite a bit of form to hunt from a saddle, and I have to be very conscious of my routine while shooting from it. For me I've sacrificed distance to increase my overall range with respect to the tree. I'd much rather have 270-360 degree range of motion at 25 yards then a normal stand that I'd take a shot to say 35 or 40 down 1-2 shooting lanes.

Shot my first buck from a saddle this year at 21 yards. Wouldn't have been able to draw without spooking him if I were in anything but a saddle.

Keep at it!
