With a bow, I shoot better from the saddle because of how I lean into the tree and/or rope. I only have to balance my upper body/the bow. Whereas when shooting from the ground or a tree stand in a standing position, I have to balance my lower body and my upper body/the bow.
With a gun, I am a slightly better shot from a tree stand because I would usually scoot down and curl up into a ball on the tree stand platform and shoot with the gun rested on the armrest or my knees. With the saddle, you can use the tree as a rest for 90% of the shots, except for when they come in hard and fast directly behind you. For this reason, I would give the stand a slight nod, but it's still not enough to make me go back to the dark side...
