Aerohunter flex vs Latitude method

I’m considering doing some updates to my Aerohunter Flex or just getting the latitude method 2.

I would like to replace the bridge on the Flex with an amsteel bridge and am going to cut the leg straps and buckles. I’d just like it to be less bulky and don’t ever use the leg straps.

I really like the rope belt and bridge on the latitude and it has removable leg straps. Also wondered if I’d be more comfortable with the two panel. If anyone has experience with both saddles I’d like to hear your thoughts. I’m mostly a leaner but do enjoy to sit some.

Thanks

That Flex was soo dang comfortable in the tree!

I really didn't like anything else about it.

I had the flex before I got a method 2. Loved my flex but tried the method out and felt it was just a little more comfortable. I kinda see the flex as a two panel, it just has material between the two panels bit functions pretty much the same way. That said, you get a little more adjustability with the method 2.

I think the location of the molle loops on the flex is a little better, they seem to be just a little lower. On the method 2 I find my pouches getting in the way of my pack.

I liked the sewn webbing bridge on my flex a little better than the amsteel bridge on the method 2. It was easier to adjust.

I think they're both about equal as far as staying put while hiking, but I might give a slight edge to the flex. When my dump pouches are full in the method 2, the magnets will disconnect every now and then and give you that feeling like you're walking around in a diaper. I had that feeling all the time with the flex, as the flex part always wanted to extend out while walking, but it's a little less comfortable in the method 2 because the molle loops and pouches are on the bottom panel, so you feel the weight of the diaper more as your pouches bounce off the back of your legs while you walk.
