I haven't come across a video yet, anyone able to li k me to a video on using an aider to get up higher using LW? I am on a super cheap budget so it may make more sense to go the route which I already have the sticks.

I have 32" Lone Wolf sticks and a five step aider. I put the LW up as high as I can and put the aider on the second step. I climb the aider up to the first step of the LW remove the aider climb to the top step of the LW put my next LW as high as I can, put the aider on the second step and so on. If I remember correctly I get 8-9 feet per stick. I've only played with this once because I just got the aider but I plan on practicing this more this off season. Be safe!

I use a 4 step aider on lone wolfs I cut down to 24”. I made an extension out of 1/4” amsteel and it loops over the top of the step. With 2 sticks and the aider I can get 16 ft with 4 pounds of carried weight.

I don't have the Black Diamond alpine aider. But looking at the specs ... The BD is 16 mm at 120 g and the Kailas is 18mm at 126 g. The Kailas is cheaper. So for 6 grams you get a wider cheaper aider. IMO, I see no reason to purchase the BD. I have the Kailas and it's built well. I also like the yellow color of the Kailas. It's easier to see. These are the lightest aiders I could find.

Is there a link to show how you guys are attacking the Kailas to your LW sticks? Looks like the top loop on the aiders is pretty small, I assume there is a way to attach these to your LW?

I just slide the top loop onto my middle step.

It looks like it may kick out. Do you intend to use the aider as a moveable one?
