Not sure I'm spelling this right, but I see both of these terms used for the steps made of webbing to help us climb higher with fewer climbing sticks. Can someone educate me on the different and we're to pick some up?

I use a 4 step web aider and that's all I use. Just strap it to the tree and climb. Dangle from my RC harness move the aider climb again...weighs nothing. Best thing I have found so far

Cool. What kind is it? Do to steps stay open nicely for you? How is it going down in the dark?

I have these in the next two sticks they came highly recommended from G2 and work fantastic I do wish they were 5 step for my muddy sticks.

I made some to start with and they didn’t stay open the way I wanted them to. I have no complaints with how any of these function and I can get 25’ up.
Here is a good write up on aiders

How many inches are there between the steps? Seems I wouldn't be able to hand my first stick high enough to need a 5 step aider hanging below it. I've never used one though, so I may be wrong. I'm also 6'4" and can reach 8 feet flat footed, probably 7.5 feet to secure a climbing stick.

Idk I think 16”? I’m 5’7” I can hang my muddy pros high enough to use 5 step aiders.
Sling the rope up high as possible, pull the rope tight with your left hand and push the stick up from the bottom with your right hand at the same time. Easy

Metolis 4 step. Yes they stay open and I have no problem going up or coming down in the dark. Just got to make sure that the middle of your foot is in the loop. The more you do it the quicker and more confident you become with them.
