Did my first sun up to sun down sit in the Kestrel yesterday. It was way easier then I thought it would have been, I just switched between leaning, sitting and straddling the tree. There is no way I could have done it with my Evo, I just never could get it comfortable.

I'm with you man. While I don't do all day sits much anymore, this thing feels like it was custom made for my butt :) I bought the back band figuring that I would need it for added comfort due to the kestrel being so much smaller overall but haven't seen a need for it yet.....and likely never will.

I do agree the back band is not needed, but it does add extra comfort, especially straddling the tree with the back band set high under armpits I kept falling asleep lol.

I like the back band. I shortened my bridge a good bit but may lengthen it some now that I am carrying a rifle. I like using the bridge as a head rest. I don’t get that option with the shorter bridge. I’ve still got the tether but it doesn’t make as good a pillow.
