Have any of you tried this vest? I had no idea they had so many storage options and pockets. This looks really interesting. Could easily see this replacing my pack on early season or quick evening hunts after work. After I remove that cushion of course.

That's exactly the vest I posted in a previous thread. I took the external seat stuff off it but that's the pack I'm using currently.

I did a search and looked over the "official turkey vest" thread but didn't see this one mentioned even though I spotted the tidewe logo on one pic.

So do you like it? Any pros/cons you care to divulge? I would be using it to one stick, or eventually one stick with a platform once I decide on a platform. I think my only concern would be the stick and platform clanging together in that big back pocket.

I've been using a turkey vest as a pack as long as I can remember, even back to my climber days before I was saddle hunting. I like the TIdeWe vest pretty well. There's plenty of storage in it for my hunts. I hang it directly in front of me in the tree and it doubles as my knee pad. The pouch in back carries all my larger stuff including any outer layers I may be taking. I can also access the platform while hanging in the tree to remove and replace the platform.

The only downside I have run across is late season when I have a heavy load in the pouch. The lack of a real waist belt allows the pack to pull back and it rides up in the front. I plan to try to integrate a real waist belt on it this off season.

The post in the thread below shows how I pack my one stick in there with my platform and keep them quiet. Remember that I always have at least a jacket in there as well also.

I purchased this one from Jerry (Always89y), but never used it. I thought the kydex and molle on the back was great, but I am a little more minimalist so stuck with my Knight and Hale Run-N-Gun 200. I keep my vest on while hunting, so I didn't like that the bigger vests sort of got in the way of my lineman's loops when climbing and definitely got in the way of my bridge when hanging/sitting.

I am going to be selling this one as well as another that I bought, if you might have any interest.

I use the tidwe turkey vest and i love it. It has more than enough room for your slates, strikers, a box call, diaphram calls extra shells. Extra pockets for whatever else you want to carry. Seat is very comfortable. A extra pocket on your back for a harvested bird. Its a nice and affordable vest.
