Ameristep Hurricane PowerStep

Not certain how it could be used unless it was in conjunction with sticks. Looks solid however!
 
What it is supposed to be attached to and what was it designed for?
 
My understanding is that you attach it directly to a ladder for extra foot space when getting into and out of your stand. I thought that if you hooked it onto a climbing stick coming out from the tree, it could become a platform.

Just seeking a thought from the experts. Love this site!

I'm not a stick guy but it sounds like a good plan for those that do use them.
 
It's not a terrible idea for a platform, but it seems like it would be too far away from the tree. It could work though. Looks heavy.
