Amsteel bridge

I think this is the way we would do the fixed Brummel on both ends:

Let me know if this is correct.

That still won’t work. I thought about it too. That’s great to make a loop one one end if you don’t have access to the other, but you still can’t build that loop around something.

If you take tag end and loop around bridge loop. Then insert tag and run back around loop again. This will double rap bridge loop. Bring out about 1/2“ from the insert point and bury it 12 “. You can stitch if you want. I had some rope steps w this done on a fixed loop. No slipping

I understand the lock stitching. Are you saying there is a problem w doubling it this way? Was repeating what I had taken apart on these steps.

What you mentioned seems like it should work. I've never tried it. Samson recommends a lock stitch, but there is always more than one way to skin a cat (or tie a bridge). I'm definitely not saying my way is better, just that I am familiar with it.

Didn’t take it that way. If you don’t ask questions you don’t learn. Trying to learn from experience.
I’ve put this on my WE steps with no problems. I am watching inside of loop for wearing from the e coating.

Seems like a smart plan. I'm sure it will work. I need to reach out to Samson and see if there is a better option.

When you refer to bridge length on a fixed, is that overall loop to loop length?

Is it acceptable to do a locking brummel on both ends but use a carabiner to attach the second side to the saddle? I just prefer to daisy chain my bridge when not in use. Personal preference.

You’re going to have to stitch one of the loops.

Is there a reason for that? Why would I have to stitch 1 side and not the other? If I have 2 locked brummels I should be ok not stitching, yeah?

folks you cannot pass the long take through on second loop as it is already spliced on saddle.
You’re right. I’ll still have to stitch it. Just trying to think of a way I can avoid a fixed bridge with Amsteel. Girth hitch like you suggested Dave?

I use a carbineer on one end if and when I use amsteel. before the mantis I used a sewn bridge with 2 carbineers

This is what I thought you were asking. I have used an amsteel bridge with two locked brummels. I girth hitch one side and use caribiner on the other.
