Researching building my own amsteel rope mods for my DIY sticks. Going to use 1/4 amsteel. Where is the best place to purchase and noticed some using am steel for a prussic and putting this on the main line to make adjustable loop. If anyone has done this or can give any information I would appreciate it? I pretty positive on how to make main line but unsure on the prussic... Thanks. Josh in TN

1/4" is crazy overkill as far as strength. You can use smaller amsteel to make prusiks, saddle makers do this on their bridges. I don't support that on saddles, but on sticks I see no problem as sticks should never be life support (if you stick breaks you shouldn't be seriously injured...if that isn't true then you are doing it wrong).

thanks. if I am going to make a prussic out of amsteel does anyone have any tips/info on this. Thanks.
I may change my plans and make a whoopsie daisy out of 1/8 inch. Anyone have any experience with these?
