Guys, sorry if this had been covered before. Tell me where to look and I'll reference that thread. But, I did the rope mod for my LW sticks a few yesterday ago. Liked it, but they just never got as tight as the straps. Just spliced some amsteel and tried it on both the short helium's and LW sticks. With both the 3/8 and original versa buttons. Think maybe it's the difference in the tree brackets? The helium's felt more secure. Thanks
 
I switched over to amsteel this fall and feel it sets the stick better with less stretch. I was running 8mm accessory cord before the switch.

Yeah, I should preview before submitting, lol. Went to the same accessory cord a few YEARS ago and just didn't like the stretch. Just tried the 1/4 amsteel. Better, but just not as tight as the strap. Just trying to figure out if it's me or the tree bracket. Thanks
