Hello from Central MA. I just started hunting at the age of 38 and got my AeroHunter Kite in the mail yesterday. Courtesy of renovating the property of a 200+ year old farmhouse I didn't get much time with it last night but Saturday and Sunday will be a different story.

I look forward to more education on this style of hunting and of course filling the freezer!

Welcome my friend from Hingham MA!

Thanks for all the welcomes! It seems like a great bunch of people on here and the resources with information, opinions, reviews etc. have been a big help. Really good to hear that others are hunting with more than a bow. I am able to shoot at home so I will be able to get some practice is and find out with the 870 really likes. I am not complaining but I know there was a substantial amount of luck that resulted in my first deer in Michigan.

is it fall yet?

Welcome from God’s country Missouri. I started late in life as well still have a lot to learn and this is a great resource.

Welcome from northern Michigan! It's a great time to be getting into saddle hunting. Lots of new products becoming available (watch your wallet:smile:) right now.

So I got my Stepps in last week and got to try 2 climbs. I let them stretch for about 18 hours on a big cherry and then climbed to 16' (my feet at 16'). I have never been truly afraid of heights, but I had no worries once I got my rhythm in the climb. What an amazing setup a saddle and Stepps are. I need to get a bag for my tree strap though. I have one for my lineman rope and it is easy to manage so far. I will definitely reach out to a few "locals" for some pointers in the near future.

Oh, and my new Bear Species will be here tomorrow....
