Any feedback on Ft Campbell? 3doe a day limit is intriguing but is it more trouble than it’s worth?

I'm a lifelong TN resident but never hunted Ft Campbell. You used to have to get drawn for it, that may have changed. Are you from out of state? If so, if you get an out of state license you can hunt any public land in TN. Most all of middle TN is Unit L and all of Unit L has a 3 doe/day limit no matter where you hunt. Obviously if you live in TN and have a hunting license you can hunt any public land (and there's a bunch of it) and anything in Unit L is 3/day.

I only mention this because 3 doe/day seemed to be your main interest and I was just adding that that's not limited to Ft Campbell. As far as the tree stand question - unless that's referring to something I'm not aware of - the only thing about stands I know of in TN is you can't set them up and leave them overnight, much less a whole season like some states allow. I'd assume with a saddle you'd walk in with it and leave with it. I'd definitely suggest not leaving your sticks on the tree, even to go get lunch and come back. They'd probably be gone.

Campbell has a lot of big bucks. The online check-in/out can be a bit of a pain at times but I would say that yes, hunting there is worth it.

You are 100% fine in a saddle there.

Every Army Fort I’ve been lucky enough to be stationed at…I say lucky because I’m Air Force has been a deer sanctuary. Fort Drum had huge bucks walking around when I was up there. I imagine Campbell would be the same.
