Any love for the Cruzr S?

I’ve found lots of content on the XC and it seems to be a hit. Anyone run the S? Any thoughts? I haven’t been able to find much as far as user reviews.

I am in the search also. So far I have tried the Tethrd Phantom, Cruzr XC and a Trophyline Covert Lite. I really like the quality of the Cruzr XC, but do not want the extra pleat. Unfortunately I may just have to order one to see how it feels.

The xc is comfy for me even without the pleat being opened

I’d guess the Cruzr S would be just fine

I am wondering about the s also. This was my first year using a saddle and went with the Merlin and don’t think I really need the pleat.

I have really liked my Cruzr s
If I’m not mistaken I believe it is the same size as the Cruzr Xc but without the pleat. It’s been very comfortable and have had no problem with hip pinch at all

I used my Cruzr S all season this year. I am a 36 - 38 waist jeans and bough the size 3 Cruzr S. Great quality, great fit, very comfortable. I started with an XL Mantis, size 2 AH Kite and the Cruzr and chose the "S" over those. I now have a pleated TX5, but in my opinion, the Cruzr S is every bit as comfortable without the fiddle factor of the pleat.

Edit: Here are the dimensions if it helps...
Bridge loops end to end - 37 inches
Lineman loops end to end - 30.5 inches
Panel side to side - 26.5 inches
Panel top to bottom - 15.25 inches

Thanks guys! The fiddle factor is what I don’t like about the pleat, although I’m sure for most it’s really not a big deal. I’m trying hard to streamline my setup as much as possible. The fewer moving parts for me, the better. With that said, I couldn’t get my phantom comfortable this year and I think I need a saddle that’s longer top to bottom. I think the S fits that’s need, not sure if the XC is necessary.

I think you would be very pleased with either the Cruzr S or a TX5. A friend of mine has a TX5 and they are absolutely comfortable and maybe the most well built saddles I have put my hands on. Can’t go wrong with either one of those choices in my opinion.

I have a Size 2 Cruzr S. I love mine.

I started with a Size 1 Aero Hunter Kestrel and loved it, but would get hip pinch after a while. The Size 2 Cruzr S checks all of the boxes for me. Size 34-36 waist, 6' 200 lbs.

Notably more comfortable than my Kestrel. I bought it with the rope bridge and replaced it with my own adjustable bridge, similar to this:

The girth hitched loops on the bridge allow you to slide them down further and achieve the cupping feeling everyone talks about without the extra pleat/cost.

I use 10mm climbing rope for my bridge and I use the smaller 7mm or 8mm rope from the original bridge as my prusik.

Thanks for the info! Do you think Cruzr’s upgraded Amsteel bridge achieves the same thing?

TX5 keeps popping up on my radar, hearing good things. It’s a little overwhelming trying to figure out all the little details and options that he offers. Pretty cool how customizable it is though

Looking at the pictures, the Amsteel bridge appears to be girth hitched on each bridge loop, so yes, I believe it would.

I personally don't like Amsteel for a bridge, but I know a lot of people who use it with no issue. I like a big beefy rope, it's just more confidence inspiring to me. Zero science or math involved. Just a look/feel kinda thing.

I get that, I felt that way when I first started using oplux for my linesman’s belt and tether. Definitely took some getting used to. Thanks again for the info, really appreciate it.
