Anyone else mainly just use two sticks??

With 2 sticks and a platform I’m close to 17’. Which is more than I really need. I’ve used 3 sticks for 3 trees this year. The rest has been 2 stick trees.

I’m starting to think I may just drop down to packing 2 sticks and a CAYG aider. I could always one stick the remaining height if needed which would be rare.

What aider have you been looking at ?

I have been single sticking for 2 seasons and there are specific trees that would be better with two sticks. What length sticks and what length aider steps work well for you? Your height too?
Do you leave second stick below final hunting height or bring it up level?

I love srt but when I can't I have 2, 18" sticks that never fail to get me up where I need to to be!! 2 sticks with aiders get me to 12.5 to 13 ft and then one stick "if" I need to go higher. I have found with my feet at 12 to13 ft is a real sweet spot here in FL for bow hunting. You can see under the canopy but not high enough to skyline.
the cannopy is most relivent here.2 feet higher and lose your shooting lanes

I’m planning to more next season.
Why you ask?
One stick is fine but I can get my feet to 14 or 15’ with 2 EWO sticks and just carry my linesman and tether . 1 20” reg stick and 1 18” stick with UP at top is an efficient option for me to get hunting; outside of presets or the ground .
1 Stick weighs less than my rappelling gear .
3 step aiders or CAYG get me to same height and I’m not sweaty
A screw in cranford or two provides a lot of options on weird trees
Once I 1 stick climbed with bibs on at base of tree - I was too hot/ sweaty at height or I took too long. Same with some early season climbs

I Reserve the right to abandon this altogether for 2TC, no stick , or my trusty 3 WE stepsaider.

I made my own about 5 seasons ago and haven’t looked back. Just looked for a picture of it but couldn’t find one. Essentially it’s just some 1” mil spec webbing ladder style. The top straps hook individually to each side of the top step of the sticks which keeps the steps open.
