Anyone run a pistol on saddle?

Another layer of confusion to this mess, is that while OC is OK generally while hunting (if you have an LTCF), if you're carrying in a State Park, it must be concealed.

To not derail this thread for the non-PA folk, I did try my Safariland MOLLE plate (6004-8) on a single row of MOLLE webbing, and I think you guys are right that it'd be bad. It'll slide up on the draw most likely. Another reason to keep the Kestrel for me, I suppose.
Thanks that's what I figured.

The bladetech tek lok prevents that & works perfect on a single row molle. I carry a larger size sidearm & haven't had any issues & I've put a lot of miles on it. Get's my, bet your life on it, approval. Plus it is only like $9-10 dollars.

Another plus one for the Hill People Gear Kit Bags. I run one with pouches on the front for range finder and binos. When I get in the tree I hang it.

Filed for my concealed carry and now I patiently wait… only down side is I live in NYS, and our governor and laws are dumb. We’re not supposed to carry while bowhunting…. Firearm season may be different? Sometimes I ponder what they don’t know, won’t hurt…. But I try and be a law abiding citizen.

Raccoons attack you often do they?
after a couple seasons ago I’m newly afraid of hawks when I’m using a grunt call
I actually had one scratching my butt in the 70's when I climbed up an old oak with a big fork in the dark and set in the crotch for a couple of hours and kept hearing a scratching noise off and on. It finally pawed my butt and I made one of the fastest descents of my life. I watched it come out with three young ones. I also had a (suspected) rabid grey fox stalking me to within 15 yards one time. It had foam on its mouth and when it got close enough for me to see that in the early morning light, I put it down with an arrow.
