I just built a whoopie sling onto the sit drag.

Pros:
- No knots
- adjustable

Cons?

Any thoughts? I've yet to put it to a tree for a tryout, but I can't see a downside right now.

I use one. It doubles as my lineman belt. The only concern I have with it is when I shorten it up to use as my bridge, I have several feet of tail to deal with. I just wrap it around my back and tuck into my belt.

What's a whoopie sling? I'm new to the Saddle hunting. Just got a sitdrag and I use a HSS harness. Looking for advice re: bridge and other best practices.

It's a adjustable rope sling. I made mine out of amsteel blue. It will let out to about 6 feet and shorten to about 2 and half feet. There's a PDF file instructions on the Samson rope website on how to make them.
