I have a Mathews halon 6 and there aren’t wet many grip options for it. So I was planning on removing the factory grip and putting a thin layer of tape. Just for cosmetic and to keep if from getting slippery.
Has anyone done this?
What would be a good tape option? Something that has a little grip but is very thin profile.

Yes. Several of my friends and I use bat tape. It’s a one sided sticky tape used to wrap baseball bat handles. It’s also cushioned and you can get it in any color or pattern you want including camo. Works awesome!

Lizard skin or Rawlings are the best. About $10-$15

Grip tape doesn't increase the chance for torque on the bow? Seems like it would...

I've seen people use both grip tape and bat wrap. And even electrical tape. I say go for it, not really much of a downside unless it makes you shoot terribly.
