Any chance you could post some close up pictures of the top bracket where the bolt nuts are?

By offset you mean just 2 teeth on one side touching the tree?

I think if the “tool hole” on the sides was a more appropriate(smaller) diameter it would be plenty strong.

I remember that LWCG had to make a similar modification to their tree stand spikes as well due to noise concerns?
