When hanging sticks and/or platform, should you wrap the strap around the tree level with the button, or angled above or below?
How do you avoid kick-out?

Should you place your platform at the same level as your top step, just off to the side so it's easier to get onto?

I’m just now getting started but my helium’s are pretty stout starting with a level webbing strap. I’m trying to get it as tight as possible and it still slides down a good bit, then locks into place. I’m using a fourth stick with my platform(hawk) and keeping it level with my top step gives me more footing surface….but still tinkering for sure.

I always try to strap them atleast level or have the strap angled above the versa button. Then before stepping on the stick push down on the steps of the stick and make sure that the stick is set good before putting your body weight on it.

If you don’t push down on the stick and set it, it could leave slack in your strap and cause a kick out when you put your body weight onto the stick.

Strap slightly above versa button and top step of stick slightly above the platform.
