Hello all, I’m new to the saddle scene and I’m about to pull the trigger on a saddle. I wanted to know opinions on the back band. How many of you think its an essentil item for comfort especially for all day sits?

I'm a newbie, I just ordered it with my system. Not a huge investment if I use it or not. I just thought it makes sense to make it more comfortable for long sits. My concern is, will it be in the way when I need to shoot my bow?

I ordered it thinking that if I ever needed extra comfort, I'd have it. That being said, I have never used it so no, it is not essential and I have one less thing to mess with.

I spent probably close to 150 hours in the saddle so far this year and don't use one, so certainly not essential. I did try one on for comfort and it helps but wasn't worth the fiddle factor for me. But I mostly lean and when I sit to rest I can lean forward. I could see them being essential for ring of steps hangers.
