Has anyone used one of these as a backband?or have one of these for measurements? Its the battle belt from eastern woods outdoors... View attachment 27784
The Tethrd back band design looks nice. I think I will try to sew something along this design.I own the aero hunter flex tree saddle and the tethered phantom tree saddle and like them both. I own the tetherd back strap called the Recliner its the best in my opinion you can't beat it i am going to buy a second one soon.
I have the back band for the areo kestral flex so that is what i am comparing it to. The back from tetherd you just hook it into the carabiner your tree tether(Watch the video). The back band areo kestral flex you have hook into bridge which more difficult and not very practical. That looks similar to the kestrel back band. My complaints about the back band were the thickness of the pad and attaching via Prussics on the bridge. This is my first time seeing the recliner, and would go that route if I were doing it again

The tetherd back band is wider which makes more comfortable it makes big difference. If watch the video there are different ways you use the tetherd back strap. I could feel the difference. Believe me its worth $30.00 if your new to saddle i would diffently recommend getting the tetherd recliner back strap.
I tried the Recliner at the Dixie Deer Classic this spring, and I admit it's comfortable. Personally, I use a regular strap with a carabiner on each end. I use prusik knots on the bridge to connect the carabiners. I prefer this over the recliner system, and here is why.... With the prusik knot, I can move the knots up and down the bridge to adjust for comfort during the sit. True, that can be done with the recliner by adjusting the length of the strap attached to the carabiner on the tether. But here is the major difference. With the two prusiks on the bridge, I can move the back band out of the way without much movement when the moment of truth comes, aka, the big buck is walking up and I don't want to move much.... dropping the back band gives me more range of motion for a better shot. With a simple down movement with each hand simultaneously, the prusik knots and back band move down to the bridge loops and the band is no longer in the way. That looks similar to the kestrel back band.
