After hunting public land for a solid week I realized that the few backpacks I have are not up to par. They were ok for hunting my private land, but Some walks to the stand were 1500 plus yards. I read thru a bunch of threads on here and haven’t found a pack that suits my needs. Looking for the following things in a pack. Need a pack that holds my bow as well and 4 climbing sticks and platform. I want to be hands free while walking. Used a primos bow sling but it was swinging one way or the other the whole hike. Want something that everything is secure in one pack. Plenty of front pockets for easy access and easily organized. I like to have the front of the pack accessible while it is hanging on the tree while in the saddle. Price point is no issue. If your pack fits this and you have a picture of it all packed up would love to see.
Thanks in advance. R

Im looking at the same thing. Look at the EBERLESTOCK 32. It may work. Several guys using it.

You are asking a lot of a backpack in order to hold a bow, sticks and platform. However, check out how Jim Hole Jr. does it. He uses a combination of bow hooks or hooks on his platform in order to place them on his safety harness (no shoulder straps). He also uses the Sitka fanatic pack. Even though I no longer use a stand, I've still maintained this same setup with my bow. There are several good bow hooks in the market today. I know Corey Jacobsen also uses a bow hook when he elk hunts.

Jim's video is here:

Look at the 3:20 mark. Bow goes on left side, stand on right side. He goes up the tree in one trip (now granted he is using bolts for his setups). You could place your sticks in the compression straps of any backpack.

At the 1:33 mark, you can see the stand hook on the stand's left side (or as it is shown on the right side when viewing the video).

By having the bow and platform on opposite sides, it essentially balances out the weight. Plus having the weight on your hips instead of your shoulder straps is a plus.

Not knowing what saddle you are using, but you could outfit Dano's battlebelt in order to accept the bow hooks or use the hip belt of the backpack to accept the bow hooks.

I've heard good things of the Mystery Ranch Treehouse Pack.

Have you looked at Insights vision?

Horn Hunter G2. Here’s one of the bag on a tree, another with my sticks and RR loaded. Only difference is I had my bow secured to the pack for the walk in where the RR is in the pic. Pack also has integrated bow holder on the rear.

Eberlestock x2 and eberlestock transformer. If your tall x2 won’t fit right but it’s a solid pack. I’ve been using transformer and love it

I really like this one! Thank you.

After trying a bunch this year I think I’m head to a Kifaru Shape Charge.

I use my Exo Mountain Gear 1800 pack to do what youre looking for.

My LW Assault or Trophyline Mission Platform and Sticks go in the Meat Hauler section between the frame and the bag. All my gear, warmer clothing, lunch, etc go in the bag.

Bow can then attach to the outer cinch straps on the bag. This pack is made to carry a ton of weight so for whitetail hunting i can carry all of that effortlessly really for miles as if its not there as the load lifters keep the weight off your shoulders. I used to have some pics back in my Facebook days but theyre gone now.

There are some threads on Rokslide with pics though about using western packs to carry treestands, sticks, and platforms and such.

If you got da dough.... EXO 1800

I’m following this. I can’t think of a pack capable of comfortably carrying sticks and bow with multiple pockets. I guess your going to put the sticks inside the pack. I don’t want my bowstring anywhere near my sticks for a long hike.

Hill People gear Connor V2. Could probably strap my bow on here if I rearrange my sticks and put my platform in my pack. Can easily carry my rifle with it tho.

Have my gear hoist attached to the bag. Also, use a clip to carry up my platform for quick hookup.

What sticks? Also xl or reg. predator?

I have the Mystery Ranch Pop Up 28 - one thing to note is it doesn’t have a lot of pockets. Just two quick access and one large but I find it’s all I need. The material is also noisy like DWR treated stiff pants sound. I can carry sticks and platform easy and even bow if I wanted to - but I found trying to carry a bow and sticks and platform is just too much for any pack in that you’ll get a clanking sound eventually. I just carry my bow Over my shoulder holding the stabilizer all cool like. You may want something like a tree stand pack from mystery ranch. Or YouTube the hunting public gear dump and see how they use the thethd pack to get the job done. BTW the pop up 28 I have is awesome but it’s bulky. Meant for carrying weight. Can be a bit much bring it up the tree.

Do you have any idea how much this pack weighs empty? I really like this one for sure!!! Great contribution to this for sure. The bow could be well protected from sticks strapped on, plenty of space for gear, sounds like its plenty sturdy if you load it up with a quartered out deer......hmmmm. might have found me a christmas present!!
