Looking to replace the straps on my Assault II. Looking for for comfort and straps that aren’t overly heavy. Thanks

Molle 2 military surplus shoulder straps and waist belt (very common mod). Not light, but the added weight if it adds comfort makes the load feel lighter.

edit: I've ran the straps straight to the stand and also ran the straps to the molle 2 plastic frame and then attached frame to the stand. The frame adds more weight but is more comfortable as it allows a natural curvature and space between your back and the structure. Straps to stand wants to straighten your back in a weird way that can cause soreness.

edit 2: If you go the Molle 2 route, I would watch a good video on how to install them (I think I have one saved I can send you). I'm pretty confident in saying that 90% of all people will do it wrong the first time without help (especially the lifting straps).

Gotta go with the Molle straps. Not bad on the weight but with all the support, they make your setup feel lighter than it is.

Molles and lumbar belt on mine.

Duplicolor makes a nice fabric paint that I sponged on mine. The desert camo doesn't blend well in WV hardwoods, so I wanted to mute it with gray.
