Anyone else get the email that Badlands packs are remaining open during this COVID pandemic? I find it a little off putting that they are classifying their business as essential to keep the doors open. Idk kind of feels like they are only worrying about that ol might dollar. Am I reading to much into this? I mean I love my Badlands gear but after getting that email, idk kinda makes me want to rethink about any future purchases.

From some things I understand manufacturing businesses are able to stay open but have to abide by the number of people in building rule. So since their Tulsa factory would be considered manufacturing and their HQ in Utah would not be allowed to stay open if Utah made the stay at home order active.

Could be wrong though!

what does the tulsa factory produce? i thought they switched their manufacturing to taiwan. i know some of their packs are made overseas these days which is disappointing.

Ah, I guess you are right it’s not their manufacturing. It’s their distribution/shipping center and where all warranty stuff goes. I wonder if that is how they were allowed to stay open.

It almost seems more things are allowed to stay open than not. If we are going to really commit to the stay at home stuff it should be stricter. Otherwise, it’s just slowing the inevitable.
