How many of you gents have gun hunted from a saddle? This is my first year with a saddle for bow, and I love it. With the upcoming gun season, I plan to use it for that as well. Just looking for opinions.

Yep I do every year. Killed several from the saddle with a gun. No problem at all! The tree makes a great rest.
Yes. I only hunt out of a saddle 
I do. I squirrel and duck hunt out of mine as well.

First year too, I plan to use the tree to brace similar to squirrel hunting with the 22lr. Also will use the bridge for a rest

I plan to gun and muzzleloader hunt from my saddle (of course I am already bow hunting from it).

I do. I use an ez hanger to hold my rifle. Positioned correctly you can shoot a LOT of area without ever pulling the sling off the hanger. Just raise the butt to your shoulder and ease around as necessary for the shot. Give it a try. It will take some playing around with positioning to get it right, but when you do.......

I actually bought a gun just for my saddle! It’s compact lightweight and has a Big Bang! It’s a Ruger Ranch 450 Bushmaster. The perfect saddle gun
