Beal Jammy on Samson Predator Rope?

Hey all,

I really like the idea of the high strength and high temperature melting of the Beal Jammy to use as my Prusik. But is it too thin to run on a Samson Predator rope tether?

Any help or input is appreciated!

Strength wise yes. You will just have to try it but what tends to happen when you put a friction hitch of that diameter on a large rope is excessive binding, aka it will lock up hard. Different ropes play together differently, lots of variables out there. Only one way to know for sure, buy it and try.
