Bee Line bridge anyone?

I want to add another bridge, and I have some 8mm beeline. I know it’s an odd choice, but can anyone think of a reason it’s a bad choice?
 
Only reason I can give is that it's a PITA to fuse the kern to the mantle. I finally whipped, shrink tubed and superglued the ends to keep the core from migrating. It's great and flexible enough to practice knots on but gave up hope on making it functional for anything.
