Beginner’s Linesman Belt Climbing Tips

Great video. Newbie here. I've been letting out slack when I'm going from one stick to the next stick. Gotta try that. Looks safer!

Weldabeast tip of the day;

If u find yourself leaned out too far while using ur linesman grab the tail of ur linesman like normal if u were going to pull to shorten....reach across your body with ur other hand and grab the linesman rope on the side of the tree ur tail end is on....pull hard with the hand that is crossed over ur body that isn't holding the tail end....that pull will bring ur body in closer to the tree and give slack to the tail end allowing for easy prusik adjustment......hope that makes sense

Awesome video @Hunter260 ! Thanks so much for this, will definitely be using more of this technique on my practice climbs today. Love the comment “anything you do is dangerous, don’t ever do anything.” That was hilarious within the context you were speaking.

Good info and neat trick with the prussic. U-tube is full of good info,we had a candidate take our Lineman helper prequal exam with no experience other than u tube , hooks and belt from ebay. He needed alot of refining but passed.
