Best Aluminum For Stick Build?

What is the best aluminum for stick build? I want to us 1" OD but what ID"? I see 6061 everywhere, but why not 7075 or 6063? Also, best for steps? Thanks.
 
1"X 1" X 1/8"(.125) Wall 6061 T6 Aluminum Square Tube this is what i used worked good
