Best buckle for diy saddle

Yeah that would work, sucks you can't find anything, maybe reach out to Black Diamond or a rock climbing harness company? Have you tried ebay?

I need it to be fairly high load bearing because I’m using it as a riggers belt for Cain method also. Any input from other users?

They have the 1.75" belt buckle asymmetrical, which I believe is a double back buckle. Hopefully they'll get the 1" in stock soon.
