Best carabiners for ropeman

Not to get into the best ascended debate, but what's the best carabiner for the ropeman 1?

Twist lock would be my 1st choice, then screw lock. Never a gated on anything where my life is on the line.

Right, def screw or twist lock, but I've also read where all rounded works better than some of the newer designs. Also didnt know if a certain shape worked better

I like the fully rounded ones better than the ones with flats simply because they produce less of a rope wear area, as I see it.

I use a fully rounded Metolius Element with my Ropeman 1. It's large diameter helps (in my mind, at least) mitigate concerns over using an out-of-spec 8mm Oplux tether with the Ropeman.

Great. The metolius element is what I had on order

Oval shape biners seem to stay in place better. I like a double auto lock gate, easy to open with one hand
