Best of the "entry level" sticks?

Regular 20" versions.

I had some hunting gear laying around that I sold off and funded the difference. No extra cash out of my pocket and should be tons better.
Thanks for removing that temptation. I kept looking at those. That was a good price for those guys. I just ordered a one stick. But if he did another price drop I was gonna have to buy them. Lol.

For my purposes, I'm not sure it makes sense to go for the premium sticks right now. I'm just getting started and most of my hunting will be on private land. I'll do a few public hunts, but they'll be so few that extreme weight reduction isn't all that important.

I'd like a setup that's easy to use and will get me in the 15-18' range without a lot of gymnastics.

I was thinking 3 or 4 full size Hawks but wanted to ask the masses for advice first. Also, if anyone has any used sticks, feel free to shoot me a pm. Thanks!

Just read your post, I am switching to wild edge steps. I have 3 full size Hawk Heliums (30") with 1/4" amsteel rope mod. Also have original buckles.
Hit me up if interested. Thanks Navyvet88 !

I’m also new to saddle hunting and in the same boat with hunting mostly private I usually hunt the same piece all week and move out to different spots on the weekend. I go and move my sticks after a sit off I feel the need to re adjust so that way the next day after work I’m set to run in and use up every bit of time I can. I run the xop short sticks they’re a little bulky/heavy but with a daisy chain mod you can shave some ounces lol for a beginner in terms of feeling stable I’d highly recommend them they bite and don’t move an inch which is extremely nice when you’re trying to get comfortable enough to experiment. I get 18-20 feet with 3 sticks. I have long fixed aiders on my first and second stick and a cayg aider to fill the gaps. I’ve used the higher end sticks that my buddies have and although they’re nice I can’t justify that much money just to save a pound or two. And as for the hawks they’re also a good stick I just personally don’t think they sit far enough off the tree BUT the double step is so much nicer than the xops when you’re climbing a ****ty tree that’s taking a while and your legs start to feel it. (I’m 5’11” and a non athletic 210lbs) just to put my set height and method into perspective
