Best pants for saddle hunting

I just saw some new pants from Kuiu. Built-in knee pads and water proof below the knees???
I didn't look at the info closely.

I have their alpine and chinook pants. That’s all I wear. Both have the built in knee pads. They are not much protection but all that I need. The alpine is very light and the chinook is insulated. Both stretch and both have hip vents to dump heat on the walk in. Works great.
The knew pants are the axis and talus. Both have water proof lower legs and seat bottom.
I’ll just pack a light rain suit if needed.

Look into crye precision pants. I'm in the army and get them so I just use them for early season when it's not cold. They have built in knee pads and elastic in the waist and crotch. Very comfortable and lots of pockets. I recommend the Gen 3s
How do they hold up to thorns, briars and all that nasty stuff? I know they are rip stop but so are my Kuiu pants that I absolutely love, but have been shredded to what looks like a fuzzy mess within half my season. They still haven't ripped but I need something that has more durability in thorns but still that stretch, comfort, vented and fast drying.

Their not bulletproof but they're pretty tough. I have some that have been through deployments that I still wear and are fine.
